The summer semester is finished. I feel like it left me in a head spin, somewhat disheveled and disoriented. There’s a relief that it’s over, and confusion as to what do I do with my day now!

The biggest lesson I learned this semester was to give myself grace. Learning how to pick up after things were dropped certainly was a skill.

I also learned that routine is great, but being stuck in it isn’t. I need a lot of variation in my day in order to feel happy and productive.

Most importantly, I realized should never compromise on moving your body. They days where I made a point to go out and run or went on a short walk were much more enjoyable. Feeling like I didn’t have time for my body made my day feel like a punishment.

In the end, I finished the semester strong. I am very proud of myself.  I’m really looking forward to the lack of deadlines for a few weeks. I have some projects that I want to work on, but I’m giving myself plenty of grace and time.
