Hello! My name is Robin. I’m a student midwife and doula. I’ve been a birth worker for over a decade. As a doula, I’ve supported birthing people as they give birth at home, in birth centers or at the hospital. No matter what my goal is always to help support and empower you to have the birth you want. My work is driven by a deep belief of providing everyone compassionate, inclusive care.
I am a self trained herbalist, descended from traditional Roma and German herbalists. I value allopathic medicine and respect the place it has in our lives. I believe in the importance of blending traditional wisdom with modern healthcare practices to support the body’s innate ability to heal. Healing occurs naturally. My approach focuses on using herbs to help nourish and support your body’s innate ability to heal naturally.
Home for me is coastal Maine where I live with my husband and kids. I have 4 children: 3 teens and 1 young adult, all of whom I couldn’t be more proud of. Also in the menagerie is 5 cats, 4 parakeets and 1 senior dog. When I’m not at a birth you can probably find my at the lab at our local hospital where I work as an MLA. Being a student midwife requires a lot of time for studying but it doesn’t prevent me from living a life full of joy. I love to be creative, and especially love to knit. I enjoy being outdoors, especially in my garden (preferably watching my chickens!). Of course I love to spend time with my family as well! Check out the epic road trip we took a few years back on SlawmanRocks.org!
